Modifié samedi, à 22:28I have been in the Euro class for 3 years, and it was interesting to learn topics that we sometimes don't work on during our normal English classes. Euro class is a good option to improve our English, with 2 hours in plus per week, but also and mainly to develop our general culture, with important events which marked the English speaking countries, or even the challenges of today's world. Moreover, the Euro class isn't just about having normal classes, because the teachers want us to have fun during these 2 hours and still learn. They organised little but amusing activities for Halloween and Christmas! For example, this year's Christmas activity was really sweet and entertaining! And our homework can be like the usual ones we have, but sometimes it's about writing a letter, putting ourselves in the world that we are studying, with also funny presentations! So I recommend the Euro class to the future students! It is a class where we can have a good time, with students and teachers, and have a great knowledge about the English world! -
My personal experience

Modifié samedi, à 22:46This year in the euro section, I really enjoyed the diversity of the chapters we studied because they were extremely interesting. We learned a lot about the history and roots of current American issues such as the Civil War and slavery. Exploring these topics helped me develop my critical thinking skills, especially because we often had the chance to share different perspectives and debate in English. Consequently, this class significantly improved my ability to structure and defend my arguments in a foreign language. Beyond the academics, my most memorable moments were the Halloween and Christmas sessions, which were fantastic thanks to the excellent preparation of our teachers. I feel very lucky to be part of this class and would absolutely recommend Euro to future students, as it is a wonderful opportunity to meet great people and create beautiful memories. Thank you for everything, and see you next year ! -
The English euro class
Irèm DURMUS
Modifié samedi, à 23:23I joined the history euro class in my second year of high school. Thus it has been two years sinceIi've been following this option. I enjoyed speaking English, and being able to participate and have conversations in English was really fun. I liked sharing my thoughts and opinions, having little debates. I also really appreciated the many surprises we had throughout the years. During these two years, I learned a lot of historical facts that I wouldn't have known otherwise. The euro class helped me gain confidence to speak English. It also improved my vocabulary, making me discover a lot of new words. I would totally recommend choosing the history euro class. Being in an English-speaking environment really helps to improve one's skills, but it also creates occasions to meet people from other classes and get closer to them. Moreover, learning the history of another country is also really interesting. In usual history lessons, we only see the history of France. You can't lose anything from getting more knowledge ! -
My euro experience

Modifié samedi, à 23:25Next year will be my third year as a euro class student. I’m glad I made this choice at the beginning of high school because I met amazing people and I’ve learned so many things, especially about the US history. I loved learning about slavery and the very beginning of the United States. I even liked learning about Jake the Ripper, even though I thought it would be more terrifying. I got to improve a lot of my skills during oral presentations or writing tests. I’m less shy and I’m more comfortable when I speak with other people. This class is like a break in our schedule. We do very funny activities, especially during times like Christmas and Halloween. These special activities are very well done in order to enjoy them. I really like our group and I can’t wait to see what we’re going to study next year. I would easily recommend this class to the future students. You will improve your English, do fun activities and meet new people! Thank you for everything, see you in September ! -

Modifié samedi, à 23:40I have been in the Euro class for 3 years, and I really enjoyed it. It helped me improve my English and learn new things about English-speaking countries and the world. The Euro class is different from normal English lessons because we do funny activities and interesting projects. For example, we had activities for Halloween and Christmas, and they were very enjoyable. I also liked that we sometimes did presentations or creative homework. It helped us speak more English and feel more confident. I recommend the Euro class to future students because it is fun, interesting, and useful to improve your English. -

Modifié samedi, à 23:44This is my second year in the euro section and it helped me a lot in speaking with confidence. We’re not a lot of students here, so it is easier to participate. This year in Euro, I learned a lot about history and English culture. My favourite topic was Jack the Ripper because I found the mystery very interesting and I enjoyed discovering the different theories about his identity. I also liked studying the pioneers because it helped me understand how people lived and travelled in the past. Thanks to Euro, I improved my English vocabulary and my speaking skills. I learned more about British history and culture through different activities and lessons. Euro helped me feel more confident when speaking and writing in English. I would recommend Euro to future students because it is interesting and allows us to learn English in a different way. For next year, I think more projects about current topics would be a good idea. -

Modifié samedi, à 23:45I really enjoyed the Euro class because it was both fun and interesting. We learned about many different topics such as the history of the United States and many other subjects. I also liked the different activities we did : writing letters, making videos and giving presentations… The Halloween and Christmas sessions were some of my favourite moments because they were fun, we ate lots of sweets, and we could practise our English in a different way. Euro helped me become more confident in English thanks to the oral presentations. The teachers were very kind, and there was never too much pressure. I would definitely recommend the Euro class to future students because it is a great way to improve your English, learn many interesting things, and have fun at the same time. -
My opinion on English Euro
Ediz YILDIRIM
Modifié dimanche, à 09:37This year in Euro English was absolutely amazing. At first, I wasn't very confident about signing up because of my busy schedule, and I even worried it might be a waste of time. However, it turns out that I enjoyed every single moment because we learned through fun debates and active discussions. Our teachers, Ms. Semiz and Ms. Minodier, truly made the lessons feel alive, which helped me significantly improve my speaking confidence. I also learned a lot about current global issues, which is so important, and I thank them for their hard work. I highly recommend this option to future students because it makes practicing English feel easy. Let's not forget about those special themed sessions, such as Halloween (my favorite session) and Christmas, they really worked hard to make Euro English enjoyable! More importantly, the atmosphere in the class is really good. Thank you for this amazing year! -

Modifié dimanche, à 11:35I have been in the euro class for three years. All these years have been really interesting. What I liked most about euro is that we learn subjects that we would never have seen in a regular English class like Jack the Ripper, the Civil War, the United States during the 1960s or even why New York is a global city. The most memorable events this year were of course the Halloween and Christmas sessions with the Secret Santa. Thanks again to the teachers for organizing these sessions, which will remain engraved in our memories where we were able to have fun while learning English in a different way. Thanks to the euro, I was able to improve my speaking skills, particularly during the exchange in Australia carried out in the second year. The numerous group projects and presentations on subjects related to the lesson also allowed me to be more comfortable in speaking. The homework given by the teachers is often original, such as making a poster or even creating a newspaper in the world of Frozen. I would recommend a student a thousand times to choose to follow the Euro section because it allows us, for 2 hours, to learn new things, meet students who have the same interests as you, and raise debates during the class. I would like to thank Miss Semiz and Miss Minodier for their involvement in our success and for making this option a moment to look forward to during the week. Thank you for these amazing years ! -

Modifié dimanche, à 16:16For the past three years, I have been part of the European History-Geography section, and it has been one of the most amazing experiences of my high school years. This program has helped me improve my English significantly. Having History and Geography lessons in English allowed me to develop my vocabulary and become much more confident when expressing myself, both in class and in everyday situations. I learned a lot about American and British history that we do not usually talk about in our regular history classes. I also had a lot of fun participating in the special events organized throughout the year. The Halloween and Christmas sessions were my favorites because we had a lot of fun (and candies!) while still learning English. However, this section would not have been as enjoyable without our teachers. They always found creative ways to make learning interesting and engaging, such as creating posters, writing letters, and even dressing a teacher up as Santa Claus ! Overall, I highly recommend the European History-Geography section to future students. It is a great opportunity to improve your English, discover new cultures, and enjoy memorable experiences throughout your high school years ! -

Modifié dimanche, à 16:18In September, I will start my third year in the euro class and it has been an excellent choice of mine to sign up for these two weekly hours. What I like most about the euro class is its format. Indeed, we can freely interact with our teachers and classmates, which leads to interesting debates, that allowed me to deeply develop my oral skills and expression in English. We are learning not only from the courses we write but also from oral discussions that permit us to deeply understand complex topics such as the Autochtone matter in the US or the Civil War. Also, it is most enjoyable to have classes that aren’t just about grades but rather focused on the development of our language and history skills. As far as I’m concerned, those are really being reinvested in many other of my courses. I wish you a beautiful vacation, see you in September ! -

Modifié dimanche, à 16:21I think my favorite activity was the music session or the Christmas sessions. It was very interesting, and the whole class was really engaged. We worked on many skills, such as making videos, giving a 5-minute oral presentation, and working with people we wouldn't necessarily have chosen, but which turned out to work very well. The Euro section helped me a lot with my spoken English and showed me that I was capable of easily writing 150/180 words instead of the required 70, and that it wasn't so insurmountable. We learned a lot about the English-speaking world, the USA during the 20th century, and Jack the Ripper. But also a lot of other things. I recommend the European section to students who are curious to learn a whole host of new information and skills. In class, in particular, we learn many new ways of working and we work on many subjects that we wouldn't necessarily have thought of working on otherwise. I have no ideas or suggestions for next year; the work done by our professors is already very impressive. Thank you for these three years ! -

Modifié dimanche, à 16:23I had euro classes since middle school but when I came in high school, I really had the opportunity to improve my English. Miss Minodier and Miss Semiz taught us how to use English the proper way. They knew how learning English could be fun, we were excited to have euro classes because we could learn with teachers that genuinely wanted us to have a better English and they made Christmas classes with a movie, some hot chocolate, halloween classes with scary stories to really put us in the mood. I really want to thank Miss Minodier and Miss Semiz to put so much effort in this euro section and to make us feel comfortable when speaking English in front of the class without the fear of being judged. I know that the things I've learnt in euro class will be very useful. -

Modifié dimanche, à 20:40This year has been my second year in the euro section and I have only good memories ! I think the topics of euro are fundamental because everything we learn is important to know for our culture such as the Civil War or stories of Native Americans. My older brother also chose the euro option and he told me that topics in euro are essential and that teachers are accessible and attentive. Actually I don't regret my choice and he was right in every point! Halloween and Christmas activities have been my favorite ones this year. The proximity with teachers and the small group we have make the euro section very special and that helps me improve my oral expression in English. I'm very lucky to have two hours per week to learn more vocabulary and to express myself ! I recommend the euro section for everyone who wants to learn more about history and improve English level. Thank you to Miss Semiz and Miss Minodier for their hard work and kindness. Have a nice holiday and see you in September! -

Modifié dimanche, à 21:51I have been in the European History section for two years now, and it has been a really positive experience for me. Besides improving my general knowledge and learning more about history, it has also helped me be more comfortable when speaking English and improve my language skills. What I enjoy the most about this class is the debates we have on different topics. They encourage everyone to participate, share their opinions, and speak English more often. Thanks to these discussions, I have become more confident when expressing myself. At first, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep this option because I was worried it would make my schedule too busy. However, I realized that it didn’t require a lot of work. Also, the work we are asked to do is interesting, so I actually enjoy doing it. Choosing the European History section was a great decision, and I would definitely recommend it to students who want to improve their English while learning about a variety of topics. -

Modifié dimanche, à 22:41After 3 years in the Euro section, it is with a little difficulty that we must leave it. This experience was amazing. It helped me a lot to develop my English skills. A big thank you to Miss Semiz and Miss Minodier for their involvement in this section which seems to be very close to their hearts. It is thanks to them that the euro section is a dynamic class in which we are comfortable. I highly recommend the euro section to all those who hesitate and again thank you for these three years.
